In a vision I saw myself sewing seed to my left and right as I walked forward. From above I could see the Lord come behind me as I went and gather some of the seed I have been sewing along the way. Then I saw him go before me and sew that seed that he had picked up and immediately I saw those plants come into full bloom with full fruit. As I approached each plant, still sewing my seed. I was so blessed by the plants in full bloom and fruitless, not only in their beauty, but also as I was able to take enough from the abundant harvest to not only eat as much as I liked but to refill the sacks that I had been carrying my seed in which I had been sewing all along.
I was so encouraged by this vision. What the Lord showed me through this is, of course, that we never loose out by giving. But also that what we give is replanted by the Lord on our own behalf for the future. We will be a major recipient of the seed we have sewn but in its more mature form. The Lord will be sure of it.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
2 Cor 9:6-9 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
